Article Abstract:
Several hidden wine trails of the US are described. Locations include: Charlottesville, in central Virginia; the Finger Lakes, in rural upstate New York; Willamette Valley, in Oregon; Anderson Valley, in northern California; Texas Hill County, in Frederickburg, Texas; and San Luis Obispo, in southern California. The wines produced in the areas and other travel details are provided.

Napa wine auction raises $5.3 million: annual charity event draws collectors and prominent vinters

The Napa Valley wine auction that lures major collectors with rare wines and luxury packages raised $5.3 million. The theme of the auction was "Sparkling it Romantic: A Sparkling Toast to Napa" and the guests enjoyed samples from local wineries and restaurants, while bidders tasted barrel auction wines in the cellar.

Napa icon Al Brounstein dies at 86
Article Abstract:
The Diamond Creek Vineyards founder Al Brounstein was amongst the first to make a unique single vineyard Napa Valley Cabernets, California's most prized wines. He died on 26th June, 2006 at the age of 86 from complexities related to Parkinson's disease.
