Ice wine gains northern exposure
Article Abstract:
The rare, sweet ice wine made of frozen grapes is being made now in the Niagara Peninsula of Ontario, Canada. Twenty-one wineries there are now making this wine that needs the right weather conditions and a combination of Riesling, Vidal and Gewurztraminern grapes.

Salvaging Sauternes
Article Abstract:
Cryo-selection is a technique whereby Sauterne grapes are frozen after harvest. This often saves some vintages that would have been destroyed. The technique is being used by France's Sauterne only with difficult vintages.
