Jacquet saved by bankrupt German subsidiary
Article Abstract:
An offer for Jacquet of France, an industrial baker, has been made by two unnamed companies. Rugenberger, the company's German subsidiary, has gone bankrupt making it more attractive to investors without Rugenberer's debts. Rugenberger had sales of 250 million Deutsche marks in 1994, representing half of Jacquet's total sales. Several former competitors of Rugenberger, including Wendelin, are said to be interested in some of its operations.
