Oregon wines are about to break into the big time after 25 years of promise. Dense planting, an expensive method, gives the wines unprecedented depth and texture. Oregon's dense-planted Pinot Noirs are currently world class, and Chardonnays made from the cool-climate Dijon clone will be soon.
