Certain tips regarding storage of wines given to the parents for their children so that they can relish them in the future are discussed. One essential key to cellaring wine for more than 20 years is a perfect environment, one that is kept cool, dark, humidity-controlled and vibration-free.

Hot wines you don't want

Article Abstract:

The storage and shipping of wines in hot conditions lead to them being cooked due to excess heat and result in a decline in their quality. Air-conditioned warehouses for storage and refrigerated trucks for transportation are suggested to maintain the high quality of expensive wines.

An earthquake, which struck Napa, CA, in September 2000 with significant force, is described. The impact of the earthquake caused considerable damage to a collection of wine stored in a cellar, but also resulted in a long-awaited reorganization.
