Ducasse runs a Monte Carlo restaurant, Le Louis XV, that rates three Michelin stars. His goal is to earn three stars for his Paris restaurant by Mar 1997. Ducasse is taking over the restaurant at Hotel Le Parc now run by the renowned Joel Robuchon.

Long Island hits the mark with Chardonnay

Fourteen local wineries participated in the third-annual Long Island Barrel Tasting and Barbecue. A few of the Chardonnays were very serious, with much potential. The region, so near Manhattan, is rural and reminiscent of European wine regions.
