Unilever enters Latin American tea and frozen food markets
Article Abstract:
Unilever, an Anglo-Dutch conglomerate, has purchased Frigosam of Chile, a tea company. Frigosam produces and markets black leaf tea and herbal tea, and had turnover of about $25 million in 1994. It has about 47% of the black leaf tea market with is Club and Silvestre brands. Unilever has also acquired the Goodmark brand of frozen burgers and vegetables from Frigorifico Rioplatense of Argentina.
