Wine and food meet sun and sand: Sixth annual South Beach Wine & Food Festival pairs tasting and fun

Article Abstract:

The Annual South Beach Wine & Food Festival on Miami Beach is one of the biggest and most exciting wine events in America. The best attraction of the 2007 festival was the Grand Tasting Village stretching along the beach for three city blocks that drew thousands of people to sample hundreds of wines, spirits and dishes from local restaurants and among that, a live charity auction with 38 lots raised $217,700.

Champagne's Taittinger Family battles corporate raider

Article Abstract:

Asher B. Edelman has bought 12.2% of Society du Louvre which has amongst it's holdings Champagne Taittinger. Some feel that Edelman may be poised for a takeover bid as some shareholders feel that the company is run for the benefit of the family and not for investors. Chairman of the Champagne company Claude Taittinger stated that the business is family run and makes a steady profit.

The New York Wine Experience: Celebrating a new milestone

Article Abstract:

The 25th annual Wine Experience evening of Grand Tastings held at the New York Marriott Marquis in October 2005 is described. Thousands thronged the event, which included tasting of wines from more than 250 wineries, seminars, and awards and brought together wine lovers to experience sensory pleasure and a sense of community.
