Wine's emerging class divide

A class of wines emerging with several brand names, considered to be an answer to wine snobbery, is enjoying temporary popularity in the business. Producers of such wines are unapologetic about their differences from the "traditional wines", which are a result of long-term commitment to excellence from producers who nurture their vineyards and distinct local wine cultures.

A wine critic writes about his stay in Venice, and how he comes to appreciate the method in the madness and proportion in the complexities of the city.
