Brunello: pride of Montalcino

Article Abstract:

Wines have been made in Montalcino for at least 1,000 years, and the 1990 Brunello di Montalcino wines released in 1995 in the US are a very good vintage. A history of the district is given, along with a description of the area today and a discussion of the region's wines.

Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon

Article Abstract:

The quality of the wines produced in the early decades of Napa Valley's emergence as a wine region was spotty. Some vintners, such as Robert Mondavi and Caymus, produced fine Cabernet Sauvignon, while others made mediocre wines. Several wines are evaluated.
