Burgundy on parade

The Bureau Interprofessional des Vins de Bourgogne in Burgundy, France, organizes biannual conferences to introduce vintages ready for the market to the wine trade. The 1996 event included tastings of red wines from the Auxerrois and the 1994 vintage of Clos de Vougeot.

Ribera del Duero: a new star for Old Castile

Article Abstract:

The Ribera del Duero region of Spain has acquired a reputation as an excellent location to have a vineyard since its first vintage in 1982. The wines immediately became a sensation, especially after the royal household in Madrid arranged for its own private supply.
