Recent legislation affecting families
Article Abstract:
Congress has enacted a number of bills that affect families. One such bill is the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act Amendments of 1991, which prolongs and broadens Federal initiatives for disabled infants and toddlers. Another bill is the Federal Supplemental Compensation Act of 1991 providing unemployment benefits for almost 3 million jobless citizens. Still another bill is the Civil Rights Act of 1991 elucidating and validating workers' right to bring job discrimination lawsuits.

Frankenmuth, MI, is a miniature Munich with its half-timbered store facades, dirndl-clad waitresses and polka music. It was established by a small band of immigrants from a Bavarian duchy called Franconia. Its name is a combination of Franken, for Franconia, and muth, which means courage in German.
