Decanting: to breathe or not to breathe

Article Abstract:

Red wine should be aerated by decanting in order to open the wine's flavor and remove sediment. Proper decanting technique is discussed. Uncorking a bottle and letting it sit will not give the wine enough oxygen, but pouring it into glasses is a substitute for decanting.
