Magnetic induction (MI) heats food by sending magnetic energy directly to the pot, leaving the temperature of the surrounding air and surfaces unchanged. Various American and European brands have come out with MI, which is very similar to cooking over a gas burner, yet enabling to prepare a meal with speed and precision.
