Is eating meat safe?
Article Abstract:
Experts such as Ronnie Cummins of the Organic Consumers Association believe that the US government is not testing aggressively enough for bovine spongiform encephalopathy (BSE), or mad cow disease. The major cause of BSE in Europe was the feeding of cow and sheep parts to cattle, and although this is no longer done in the US, cow's blood is still found in cattle feed, and it is difficult to quantify just how much risk there is of BSE becoming a problem in the US.

Husky power
Article Abstract:
A crew of five men embarked on an adventure to cross Greenland by dog sled on May 19, 1996. The men began their journey at sea level and climbed 2,600 meters before descending from the coastal mountains to their final destination, Sondre Stomfjord, on the western coast of the country. Feeding the dogs at the end of the day was one of the most difficult, yet rewarding, aspects of the journey.
