Glasgow has restaurants that serve everything from Italian pastas, Pizzas, coffee shops to Indian pakoras, Tikka masala lamb in a rich pepper sauce, and Aloo saag. Restaurants like Cafe Gandolfi in the merchant city, Gamba seafood restaurant and bar on the George Street and Allan Beveridge in Glasgow are mentioned.

Edinburgh has some of the best restaurants with best serving dishes that include Plaisir Du Chocolat and 'The Tower', Edinburgh's new breed of restaurants are situated in Old Town. Valvona and Crolla, Palm Court of the Balmoral Hotel, Oloroso restaurant in the New Town of Edinburgh are the popular restaurants.

Scotland to a tea

Scotland is famous for baked products and some of the recipes that can be prepared as afternoon treats are presented. These include Pistachio, lemon and vanilla shortbread, classic scones made of chilled whole milk, eggs, whipped cream, and rich and sticky gingerbread with marmalade amongst others.
