Issues concerning the choice of electric juicers are presented, with reference to two different styles - masticating and centrifugal. Manhattan's top chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten prefers the Champion, a masticating juicer, from which he creates unique juices, sauces and butters.

Garlic gear: slicers, graters, presses, and more

Equipment for slicing and crushing garlic is discussed. Professional chefs are able to crush garlic with a knife, but amateur cooks are likely to need a garlic press or a garlic slicer.
