Suggestions and recipes are presented for strawberries, the modern version of which was developed in France in the 18th century, and reached the US in the mid-19th century. Suggested recipes include strawberry and arugula salad with hazelnut dressing, fresh strawberry ice cream, strawberry lemonade, strawberry-sambuca sorbet, and almond dacquoise with strawberry ice cream.
