Reporter Joe Sharkey, in his book 'Bedlam: Greed, Profiteering, and Fraud in a Mental Health System Gone Crazy,' investigates the corrupt practices of the for-profit mental health hospitals which aggravate the health problems of the patients. The book analyzes government reports, court cases, interviews of the patients and anecdotes to depict a clear picture of the industry. However, lack of proper arrangement of details such as statistics and anecdotes is a shortcoming of the book.
