North California is the home for some 100 artists and artisans, turning and burning everything from terra-cotta cookware to vibrant modern dinnerware. The place is known as the 'Pottery HighwayE, which offers a brief local history of the pottery industry established in the 18th century by a group of people living within five-mile radius.

Kilkenny: a taste of the real Ireland

KilKenny is located in southern Ireland and has many interesting historical and cultural attractions. The Kilkenny Castle is in the center of the city and was built by Normans in 1169. Rothe House, Black Abbey and the Kilkenny Design Centre are described along with tips on lodging and dining.
