A biographer describes her experience in Paris where she shifted with her family to write about Ben Franklin's 18th -century adventure in France. She explains that although there were no language-barriers, she felt awkward and incapable whereas at home in New York she is organized, competent, and semiarticulate.

There are few restaurants in Paris with views of the city. In the mid-19th century, buildings were restricted to 6 stories in height. Several restaurants that do have a view are described. They include the Jules Verne, which is located on the Eifel Tower's second platform.

The two-thousand-plus acre Bois de Boulogne forms the grounds of the eighteenth century Chateau de Bagatelle, Paris, France, where flowers bloom in profusion. The Doric-columned chateau has been restored and is open to the public.
