The work of a medical ethicist is difficult, as they often try to help family members make difficult decisions about medical care for patients. Often, the decisions are life-and-death ones, and the ethicists help family members learn to let go of patients while physicians may encourage more treatment.

The family members of Greg Belanger, one of the 30 American soldiers who died in Iraq war speak on Greg, his special place in their lives, and his major contributions towards the country. Greg's family and friends remember him through his letters, his achievements, and some bitterness over his death.
