Selecting an architect
Article Abstract:
Public housing authorities and community development representatives who need to engage the services of an architect should bring the firm in as early as possible in the project. Perhaps four or five firms should be contacted before making a selection. Compatibility in terms of corporate 'style' is also important. Typical services provided by architects include: pre-design, site analysis, design development, schematic design, construction document work-up, negotiation or bidding, contract administration, and post-construction work.

Gun control way off target
Article Abstract:
Many Canadians are questioning the rationale behind Bill C-68, or the gun control bill. Although they agree that people who do not want to own guns for their own protection should not be forced to do so, they argue that those who do want to defend themselves must not be forbidden from doing so.
