John Sexton's tenure as head of N.Y.U. Law School has seen the institution rise in ranking and financial viability. Sexton relishes the fund raising and self-promotion that many academics disdain. His zest and energy are evident in that he still teaches first year classes as part of his total engagement strategy at the school.

Hanky panky: deciphering the gay bandana code
Article Abstract:
There is a certain idiosyncratic practice among gay men with regards to the use of the handkerchief in non-verbal communication. Gay men in San Francisco use a hanky code to commmunicate their sexual interest. This practice is not common everywhere but is picking up with lesbians and bisexuals.

Sierra Leone is no place to be young
Article Abstract:
Some estimate 40 to 50% of Sierra Leone's rebel army's soldiers are children. As for the government's Civil Defense Forces, about 1/5 of the force is children. Various child soldiers are profiled and their stories are related.
