Israel's PM Yitzhak Rabin may be the man who can forge lasting peace in the Holy Land. A former military leader, Rabin possesses exceptional leadership qualities, courage, honesty and intellectual brilliance. He has also displayed political astuteness in the past. Rabin plans to revive Israel's economy and sustain peace talks with the Palestinians.

Can we fight the next war?

Article Abstract:

The military is a shadow of its former self in the 1980s when America's armed forces were adequately manned and armed. The end of the Cold War meant hefty cuts in defense spending which has hit the nation's military hard. At least $112 billion is needed to stop the erosion to the military.
