One deadly week
Article Abstract:
An alarming number of children are being killed in the US by the people who are supposed to be taking care of them. In one week in 1995, 19 children, most of them under 2 years old were killed by their parents or other people left to take care of them. The circumstances surrounding their deaths are recounted.

Benetton Group's magazine ads feature a priest and a nun kissing, a baby with its umbilical cord attached, and other controversial images. The Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Boston and the Anti-Defamation League of B'nai B'rith have criticized the ads.

Europe's deadly pollution drift
Article Abstract:
Cooperation is needed among the different European countries in order to solve the region's air pollution problem. Air pollution knows no boundaries since pollutants can be transported by winds far from where they originated.
