Article Abstract:

Artist David Grey allows the shape of the stone to influence the figure that will eventually emerge from the pieces that he carves. Grey uses labradorite feldspar or sunstone to carve pieces that are inspired by Native American figures and characters from folk tales.

Miss Judith Re's class entitled 'Instruction in the Social Graces' at Boston's Ritz-Carlton teaches children under twelve proper etiquette. Eight-year-old Sara Sedgwick really enjoyed the workshop, which included a free evening at the Ritz in a room just for her.
