Starless nights: light pollution extinguishes the stars

Light pollution is robbing people of stars and is interfering with natural cycles such as those of migratory birds and deciduous trees. The International Dark-Sky Assn. suggests measures to curb light pollution, minimize energy waste and bring back the stars.
