Doctors Without Borders is a well-known humanitarian group that provides medical assistance to people in troubled areas of the world. Founded in France, the group has participated in humanitarian missions in aid of refugees in places as diverse as Rwanda, Cambodia, Chechnya and Yugoslavia.

A world of hurt: why your doctor is afraid to ease your pain

Article Abstract:

Most doctors hesitate to give their patients pain relievers for fear of addiction. They also risk being accused of illegal drug distribution. The refusal may also lie in the medical belief that pain is only a symptom and not itself a disease that ought to be relieved.

Is there a doctor in the classroom

Article Abstract:

There is a need to re-examine the roles played by teachers who are also Ph.d holders. The wisdom of using Ph.d degree holders to instruct students is doubtful, considering the fact that they are not trained to function as teachers.
