Assembly
Article Abstract:
The Republican Party in California lost heavily to the Democrats in the Nov 3, 1998 elections for the Assembly. Among the Republican incumbents who lost were Robert Prenter in Fresno and Jim Morrissey in Orange County. The Democratic victory was attributed to their campaign which was focused and provided get-out-the-votes efforts. The final numbers are 48 seats for the Democrats with 32 for the Republicans. A tally of election returns for all districts is presented.
