There are several questions that will guide managers on the proper way of doing an expansion project. One of the most important questions to ask is if the project would benefit an organizations's business aims. Another is if the initiative would bring added value to an organization. Managers also have to ask themselves if the expansion contributes to the business plan of their organizations or if it is simply one of their pet projects.

Data mining is an information extraction activity designed to discover hidden facts or "red legs" that may indicate previously undetected fraud, waste, abuse or mismanagement and is one of the key tools in identifying improper payments. Five components of internal controls, as outlined in GAO's "Executive Guide Strategies to Manage Improper Payments", are listed.

Legislative institutionalization: a bent analytical arrow?
Article Abstract:
The procedure of how the organization's structures establish stable relationship and a unique identity among its units and staffs is discussed. The single bent arrow of legislative institutionalization would be replaced by two straight arrows targeted upon notions of legislatures becoming and being an institution.
