Remote video deters school vandals, shares data network

Telexis Corp of Ontario, Canada, has supplied California's Hacienda La Puente Unified School District with its Remote Video Surveillance Solution. The system, coupled with the Newbridge Switched Routing System, allows the school adminitrators to centralize and internalize its surveillance operations. The system can also store digital video from remote school premises at a central location, thus, eliminating analog video degradation concerns and time spent retrieving video tapes from different sites.

Loronix Inc of Durango, CO, has supplied the Durango High School with its CCTVware digital video surveillance and recording system. The CCTVware system combines hardware and software to record, store, and manage video in a digital format. It is composed of a closed circuit TV camera, custom industrial PC configured as digital video recorder and server, a computer- controlled digital tape library with special high-speed, high-capacity computer tapes and a PC workstation.

UFO Interactive has been chosen to publish the 'Industrial-Spy Operation Espionage' video game. The game, which is intended for the Sega Dreamcast platform, will be distributed by Tommo in the US. The game, which contains 10 levels, allows a player to direct a team of eight spies with varying skills in accomplishing a certain mission. In order to score high points, the player must be perceptive and capable of anticipating dangerous situations.
