The role of party reputation in the formation of policy
Article Abstract:
A study was conducted to examine the influence of political parties in setting political platforms. The establishment of a platform more moderate than party members increases the probability of electoral victory for the party nominee. The implementation of party platform by a lame duck incumbent creates an impression of party moderation and raises the possibility of retaining political power.

Altruism, reputation and noise in linear public goods experiments
Article Abstract:
A voluntary contribution mechanism was developed to identify factors influencing the willingness of individuals to contribute to a task. Results showed a tendency to over-contribute among the various players, which can be attributed to a combination of random variations in behavior. Altruism and reputation-building played minor roles in determining the contributing behavior of the players.
