Factor endowments and welfare levels in an asymmetric tax competition game

Article Abstract:

The capital tax competition among an arbitrary number of countries is addressed. The way equilibrium taxes and welfare levels depend upon countries population and capital endowments, is fully characterized and compared to the autarky situation and it is shown that competition erodes some gains form capital markets liberalization.

Migration consequences of welfare reform

Article Abstract:

An investigation regarding the recent changes in welfare policy and their effect on the migration of low-unmarried mothers is conducted. The results reveal that, the welfare reforms have led to the migration of low-income women.
