Apocalypse then
Article Abstract:
The healthcare industry has made significant adaptations in the 1990s in response to changes in managed care as well as in the patient population, according to a survey by the American Hospital Association. The survey revealed that managed care has increased outpatient visits, shortened inpatient stays and reduced expenses. In addition, medical practice buying and networking at rural hospitals increased. A growing percentage of seniors in the population has affected health care services.
