Gentlemen's agreement: Helix/Medlantic deal was inked with a little help from two friends

Article Abstract:

Medlantic Healthcare Group's merger with Helix Health has been expected to happen, according to John McDaniel, former CEO of Medlantic and now chief executive of the combined companies. The merger of the two companies has created Helix/Medlantic, which is one of the 15 largest non-for-profit health systems in the US, with an operating revenue of almost $1.4 billion. With several health service providers in the Washington-Maryland area consolidating, Michael Merson, founder of Helix Health and now president of Helix/Medlantic, said the company is still seeking for more partners in the area.
