Tackling no-show behavior: a market-driven approach
Article Abstract:
Patient no-show behavior (NSB) has been studied through a new method which will allow healthcare institutions to examine NSB within their patient populations. Through the use of the method, individual managers can address the particular needs and characteristics of their institutions. No-show appointments has been a persistent problem for healthcare institutions for the past 30 years. No-shows affect the general health status of the population and the profitability of healthcare institutions.
