Just-in-time in the infrastructure
Article Abstract:
The tenets contained in the Just-In-Time management philosophies can be applied to the various functional units of hospitals in response to improving services and utilization of resources. The underlying philosophy of 'breaking the bottleneck' contained in JIT can be used in hospital administration to effect faster decision times in its hierarchy of approvals, in accounting to do away with structured periodic financial results and in other hospital departments that have to contend with delays and decisions.
