Cognitive therapy for ventricular dysrhythmia patients
Article Abstract:
A set of coping strategies called cognitive therapy may prove valuable in managing patients who live with life-threatening abnormal heart rhythms or who have had a defibrillator surgically placed in their chest. Cognitive therapy involves identifying the patient's fears and rationally brainstorming possible solutions. This approach has been shown to be effective among patients with epilepsy or cancer.
