The International Training and Research in Environmental and Occupational Health program has established several overseas research projects to increase laboratory skills and and attain advanced degrees in public health fields. These countries include the Americas, Europe, Africa and Asia.

Article Abstract:
Poor-quality sewage treatment is polluting groundwater with human pathogens. Bacteria that are not properly treated or contained in septic tanks can readily travel to coastal waters, infecting human swimmers and aquatic species.
