Agency announces new Superfund reforms
Article Abstract:
The EPA has announced its decision to institute more reforms in the implementation of the Superfund law for the sake of increased efficiency, speed and fairness. Reforms would revolve around enforcement, economic redevelopment, community outreach, environmental fairness, consistency of program implementation and the empowerment of government. The EPA action is but temporary in anticipation of a new law to be passed by Congress.

Building designs have contributed to indoor air pollution. The issue of "sickbuilding syndrome" has generated publicity and building owners and employees alike should be familiar with the symptoms of the problems. Indoor air pollution can be traced from occupants' information,improper heating, ventilation and air conditioning system, pollutant indicator and pathways, temperature and humidity.

Agencies introduce wetlands-mitigation bank
Article Abstract:
The EPA, together with the US Army Corps of Engineers, the US Fish and Wildlife Service and the California Department of Fish and Game, has launched the Wikiup Mitigation Bank in Sonoma County, CA. Mitigation banks are sites where developers must preserve, restore or create wetlands to satisfy permit agreements with the Army Corps.
