Anchors away
Article Abstract:
A case study of a 50-year-old Asian woman with a papolonodular, erythematous rash on her legs below her knees but having no fever or other systemic symptoms is presented. Heuristics or shortcuts in diagnosis led to incorrect conclusions about her condition and subsequent alternate tests provided a correct diagnosis, thus highlighting the necessity of avoiding being anchored to wrong diagnosis though heuristics.
