Diabetes dietary management
Article Abstract:
The principles of dietary management for diabetics has changed significantly since the 1970s, and not focuses not on avoiding sucrose and restricting carbohydrate, but on achieving a varied and healthy diet. The British Diabetic Assn says that compliance with diabetic diets is 'notoriously poor'. Therefore, instead of imposing a strict dietary regime which is different to that enjoyed by non-diabetic peers, a diabetic diet should be realistic and centre around ordinary foods while following a few basic guidelines.
