Do bodybuilders need more ZZZZZZZZS?

Article Abstract:

Bodybuilders usually have about 6-8 hours of sleep each day. They admit to getting fewer sleeping hours several weeks before a competition. Sleep helps bodybuilders renew the strength and stamina of muscle fibers that have been worn out by rigid workouts.

Sleep: how much do you really need?

Recent studies indicate that lack of sleep can speed up the aging process, decrease the ability of immune systems to fight off infections and change eating habits. Success in bodybuilding competitions hinges much on the amount of sleep a bodybuilder gets.
