Disease modifying treatment and elective surgery in rheumatoid arthritis: The need for more data

Rheumatologists and surgeons oppose the use of disease modifying antirheumatic drugs during preoperational period of patients. This is because the patients who are to undergo surgery at a high risk of infection.
