Prevalence of HIV risk behaviors, risk perceptions, and testing among US adults with mental disorders

Article Abstract:

Research has been conducted on risk behavior among persons with mental disorders. Results suggest that these persons may lack the knowledge, interpersonal skills, impulse control or social networks which would encorage safe behavior, and that people with mental diorders should be identified as volnurable population in HIV prevention plan.

Quantitative RNA testing for diagnosis of HIV-infected infants

Article Abstract:

Research has been conducted on non-breast-fed infants exposed to HIV. The use of quantitative HIV RNA testing has been used for the diagnosis in these infants, and the results demonstrate that this testing can be used for the HIV-exposed infants but there is a chance of a false-positive test results.
