The AIDS epidemic in 2004
Article Abstract:
Despite increases in funding, global attention, and political will, more infections and more deaths continue to occur due to AIDS epidemic, especially in Africa. The changes in primary modes of transmission of HIV are discussed and an update on the number of adults infected with HIV is presented.

HIV in India: a downsized epidemic
Article Abstract:
The article discusses the growing epidemic of HIV in India with about 5.7 million people affected with it in 2006. It further suggests that better control could be exercised with more effective targeting of resources for prevention and treatment.
