Illinois court finds a catch in restrictive covenants: effectively says old friends don't count as stolen customers
Article Abstract:
Illinois dentists who leave a practice may be able to solicit customers from their prior practice if they knew the customer before entering the practice. The contract clause that forbids soliciting former customers is called a restrictive covenant. Dentists should be familiar with their state laws covering restrictive covenants.
