Nurses can boost apnocea care

Article Abstract:

Nurses can successfully assess and train people with obstructive sleep apnoea (OSA) through domiciliary monitoring. A Nurse-led service that was set up at Newcastle Upon Type Hospitals NHS Trust in 2001 has seen more than 350 patients since it's beginning.

Extra nurses reduce post-op death rates

Article Abstract:

The US study revealed that a ratio of 2.3 nurses per patient reduced mortality rates by 50 per cent. This might be due to high-quality nursing care that a high staffing level allows.
