Do you have too many customers? Jettison your marginal customers so you can focus on the valuable ones, and reap profits
Article Abstract:
Many firms are shedding old ways of marketing based on mass-market standardization, or creating a product that appeals to the average customer. Instead, firms are discovering that profits are increased if they become a customer-driven company that develops products tailored to the needs of their most valuable customers, not every customer. The aim is to achieve not market share but a share of that particular customer's market.
